How It Works

In You Can Record and More you can record your file copies, cuts, renames, deletes, zips and application file/document opens while you work in Windows Explorer, an application you already know.

In Windows Explorer you select the files and folders as usual by left clicking. Right click and select You Can Record and More from the popup menu.

In You Can Record select the action you desire: copy, cut, delete, rename, zip or open program/document.

When Windows Explorer completes the action it is recorded in You Can Author. You Can Author commands representing Explorer file actions are inserted into the script in You Can Author.

You Can Author sentences are easy to understand English comands but you don't need to learn anything to record and replay.  You Can Author creates a Microsoft® Visual Basic Script and, places an icon on your desktop.

Best of all you don't need to know any computer language. You Can Author scripts lets you know if there are unexpected problems, for example a missing file you wanted to copy.
